“An Integral Approach to Education as a Catalyst for World Peace.”
We are proud to share that Dr. Haim Vilevi, Head of the Peace Department at IHUD CH, represented our organization at the 8th World Conference on Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education. Together with co-author Moshe Poltorak (University of Haifa), he presented the paper: “An Integral Approach to Education as a Catalyst for World Peace.

The presentation addressed a crucial challenge: today’s global education system stands at a crossroads. While our world is increasingly characterized by interconnectedness and interdependence, education often remains rooted in outdated, individualistic, and competitive frameworks. This mismatch limits personal growth and hinders our collective ability to solve pressing global challenges.
Drawing inspiration from 20th-century Jewish thinkers who anticipated the shift toward a more interconnected society, Dr. Vilevi and Mr. Poltorak proposed an integral approach to education—a model that goes beyond conventional boundaries by integrating emotional intelligence, empathy, and collective responsibility into the learning process. This framework emphasizes unity and mutual support as essential competencies, aligning education with the realities of an interdependent world and positioning it as a true catalyst for peace.
